1.02 SUBMITTALS
A.Shop Drawings: Indicate pertinent dimensioning, general construction, component
connections and locations, anchor methods and locations, installation details.
B. Samples:
1. Submit samples of color and finish on aluminum frame material; minimum 12 inches
long.
2. Submit corner of fram, indicating fit, finish and tolerance of frame corner joint.

A. Reference specifications and standards: Comply with manufacturer’s
recommendations and the following unless otherwise specified in this Section. In
case of conflict, comply with the most stringent.

1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A. delivery materials in manufacturer’s packaging complete with installation
instructions.
1.05 WARRANTY
A. The work hereunder shall be warranted for a period of not less than one year
against defects in material and workmanship.

2.01 GENERAL
A. Comply with the requirements of the referenced standards.
2.02 MATERIALS
A. Frames
shall be constructed of extruded aluminum alloy 6063-T5
B. Frames
shall accommodate 3-3/4”, 4-7/8”, 5-1/4” & 7-1/4 prefinished
walls as specified. Also frames shall be removable or relocatable.
C. Frames:
1. 0.07
inches nominal thick aluminum consisting of head section, two jamb sections, four
corners steel reinforcing
plates, 0.125” thick hinge back up plates, aluminum strike
plate, and snap-on trim.
2. Provide
continuous vinyl door finish to match Architect’s choice of white or black.
D. Finish:
Custom color factory or shop finish to match Architect’s control sample.
2.03 FABRICATION
A. Fabricated
aluminum frames shall allow for clearances around perimeter.
B. Provide
anchorage devices to fit and secure frames in place.
C. Provide
required internal paint on concealed aluminum surfaces to be in contact with cementations
or dissimilar materials.
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verify that opening sizes and tolerances are acceptable.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A.
Comply
with the requirements of the referenced standards.
B. Accurately
assemble joints and corners. Match components,
ensuring continuity of line
and design. Ensure joints and connections are flush and hairline.
C. Use
sufficient anchorage devices to securely and rigidly fasten frame assemblies in
place.
D. Install
plumb, level and free from damage, flaws, blemishes or other defects detrimental
to appearance; have
joints in proper position and alignment and be uniform in plane, color and finish.
3.03 ERECTION TOLERANCES
A. Maximun diagonal distortion: 1/8 inch measured with straight edges, crossed corner
to corner.
